The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaRusso tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
LaRusso pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Zuka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nice jab there from LaRusso.
A nice inside leg kick there by LaRusso. That's going to slow Zuka down.
LaRusso throws a leg kick that is checked
and Zuka counters with a flying knee. Nice.
LaRusso ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
LaRusso throws a leg kick but Zuka sees it coming and checks it nicely.
LaRusso throws the kick towards the body but Zuka avoids it.
LaRusso misses with the body kick
and Zuka counters with a nice low kick that buckles LaRusso's knee momentarily.
LaRusso throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A swing and a miss from LaRusso.
LaRusso throws a leg kick
and Zuka counters with a head kick that drops LaRusso to the mat! LaRusso scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
LaRusso is rocked!
LaRusso on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Zuka moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
LaRusso looks gassed!
Both fighters circling a little - Zuka finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Zuka lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round.
LaRusso walks forward, straight into a front kick from Zuka.
Zuka with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Zuka lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Zuka connects with a solid leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zuka misses with a head kick.
Zuka fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but LaRusso is out of range.
Zuka circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! LaRusso drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Zuka follows LaRusso to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amir Zuka!
