Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keioni Mckone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wes Archer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keioni Mckone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wes Archer! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckone takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Archer looks to clinch and Mckone counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mckone. Archer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mckone smiles and moves away.
Archer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mckone's head backwards. Mckone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Archer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mckone is in Archer's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Archer keeping full guard, as Mckone tries to pass. Mckone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Archer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mckone has managed to get both his arms back between Archer's legs - danger averted. Mckone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Archer avoids the head kick by Mckone.
Archer has his takedown stuffed and Mckone counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mckone.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Archer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Archer wants to take the fight to the mat but Mckone manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Keioni Mckone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Archer. Archer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mckone avoids it. Mckone manages to break the clinch.
Archer throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. No luck for Archer with that takedown attempt. Mckone could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mckone clinches up with Archer and pushes him back against the cage. Mckone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mckone closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Archer's guard. Mckone sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckone's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Archer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mckone is one step ahead there. Mckone looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Keioni Mckone wasn't doing enough on the ground. Mckone doesn't manage to clinch there - Archer circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mckone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Archer is trying to get back to full guard. Archer trying to hold on to Mckone's head to control him but Mckone postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mckone slows the pace down in half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Archer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mckone swivels and escapes. Archer drives through and clinches with Mckone against the cage.
Archer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Archer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Archer trying to keep a closed guard but Mckone is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mckone tries to free his leg and advance position but Archer is retaining full guard. Mckone trying to control the position from guard on top but Archer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Keioni Mckone will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Archer tries to close the distance and clinch but Mckone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Archer swinging wildly here.
Mckone pushes Archer up against the cage in a clinch. Mckone successfully pulls guard.
Mckone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mckone tries to bench press Archer off him but Archer keeps the position. Mckone is not content to let Archer control the position. Mckone is trying to control Archer's posture but Archer avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Archer sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mckone is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mckone defending against the ground and pound. Mckone struggling a bit here. Archer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Archer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mckone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mckone is trying to control Archer's posture but Archer avoids it. Mckone is looking to regain half guard here but Archer keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Archer wants to stand but Mckone has his arm trapped. Mckone is looking to reverse the position. Archer trying to control the position but Mckone is working away. Keioni Mckone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Archer working away. Mckone takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mckone throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Mckone moves into the clinch. Mckone landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Mckone lands a right hand. Mckone manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Archer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mckone's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Archer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mckone swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Keioni Mckone will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Archer is trying to pull guard but Mckone has him pressed against the cage. Mckone has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Archer uses from the top position. Archer sitting in guard here, content to control. Mckone wants to sweep but no luck. Mckone wants to control the position but Archer says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Mckone makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mckone. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Archer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mckone is trying to control the position but Archer postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Archer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mckone swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mckone lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Archer! Mckone looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckone stands up from mount. Strange move. Mckone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Archer fails with a takedown attempt. Mckone lands with an uppercut that bounces Archer off the cage and back into range. Horrible takedown by Mckone or perhaps it was just good defense by Archer which made him look bad. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Archer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Archer wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keioni Mckone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Archer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Archer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mckone looking to sit in guard and control but Archer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Archer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Archer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mckone's guard. Mckone is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Archer is trying to control. Mckone wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Archer wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Keioni Mckone showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mckone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
