Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jett Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kratos Sparta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Padilla might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to In da club - 50 cent. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparta shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Padilla is trying to defend but Sparta finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sparta throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sparta slows the pace down in half guard.
Padilla pushes Sparta off looking to stand but Sparta dives back in and keeps control.
Sparta is trying to control. Padilla wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sparta with the ground and pound but Padilla uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Sparta wants to control from the top but Padilla keeps moving.
Sparta controls from within his opponent's guard.

Kratos Sparta has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Padilla tries to sprawl but Sparta drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Sparta throws a strike but Padilla avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Sparta looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sparta stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Padilla throws up his legs and catches Sparta in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Sparta tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Padilla! That came out of nowhere!
