Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slow Motion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tirolesa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Slow Motion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Tirolesa!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tirolesa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Motion counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tirolesa's guard now.
Motion postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tirolesa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Motion defends it easily.

Motion got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tirolesa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Motion has managed to get both his arms back between Tirolesa's legs - danger averted.

Tirolesa has his foot on Motion's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Motion works his way back into a safe position though.

Tirolesa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Motion doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Motion manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Motion stands up over Tirolesa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Tirolesa wants to control but Motion is having none of it.
Motion throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tirolesa because Motion loaded up on that one.

Tirolesa sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Motion lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Tirolesa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Motion's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Motion's back!
Tirolesa is not going to allow Motion to sit and survive in this position.
Motion can't escape the position.

Tirolesa is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Motion has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Motion is having to fend off submission attempts from Tirolesa, who is looking to sink in the choke. Tirolesa doesn't have the hooks in though and Motion manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Motion throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tirolesa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Horrible takedown by Tirolesa or perhaps it was just good defense by Motion which made him look bad.

Motion drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Motion jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Motion reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Motion taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tirolesa!
