The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Tulip is looking to get back to full guard here but Lil I has managed to pass to side control instead.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The Tulip uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lil I.
Lil I throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lil I moves away from the strike by The Tulip.
The Tulip throws a jab when Lil I was well out of range.
The Tulip gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lil I.

and Lil I counters with a stiff right hand.
Lil I thows a body shot but no joy.
The Tulip misses with a lunging right hand
and Lil I cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The Tulip fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lil I manages to avoid it.
A slow jab from The Tulip misses its intended target.
A jab lands there for The Tulip.

The Tulip looks to land a right hand but Lil I moved out of range.
Lil I gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A looping hook to the body misses from The Tulip. Lil I does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lil I dives in and grabs The Tulip's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Tulip pushes down on Lil I's head and hops out.
The Tulip swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lil I takes one on the button.

Lil I closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. The Tulip quickly recovers to half guard.

Lil I is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lil I is sneakily working for an arm triangle but The Tulip sees it coming and defends easily.

Lil I is pressing down on The Tulip's thigh, looking to free his foot. The Tulip is holding on for now.

Lil I wants to free his trapped foot but The Tulip is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The Tulip really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lil I. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Tulip can do anything to dispel that myth.
