Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markus Kerrius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Black will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Markus Kerrius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Black!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerrius takes one on the button.
Horrible takedown by Black or perhaps it was just good defense by Kerrius which made him look bad.
Kerrius misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kerrius clinches with his opponent.
Kerrius tries to pull guard but Black forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kerrius wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Markus Kerrius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kerrius fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Black landing knees to the body.

Black breaks from the clinch.
No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Black looks for a takedown but Kerrius sprawls well.
Kerrius throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Black.

Kerrius fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Black, pushing him back against the cage.

Kerrius lands a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kerrius wanted to stand there but Black had control of the position.

Kerrius stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Kerrius feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Markus Kerrius.
Kerrius will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kerrius shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Black.
Black tries to stand but Kerrius is controlling his head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I wouldn't like to be where Kerrius is right now.

Kerrius is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Black off and has taken his back!

Kerrius is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Black defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Black manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.

Kerrius feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kerrius advances to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kerrius wants to free his trapped foot but Black is holding on for dear life with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kerrius is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Black is just riding it out for now. Kerrius eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kerrius.

Kerrius closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kerrius lands in his opponent's guard.

Black manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Black stuffs the takedown attempt from Kerrius. Kerrius gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Black clinches.
Kerrius tries to break the clinch but Black is controlling the position.
Kerrius tries to pull guard but Black forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Kerrius has had enough of the clinch but Black keeps him there for the moment.
Black prevents a takedown attempt there.

Black's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Black looks to land a body kick but Kerrius moved away.
Kerrius throws a combination. Black tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kerrius fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Black moves into range and clinches up with Kerrius.
Black wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Kerrius takes a knee to the side of the body.

Kerrius blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Black with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Kerrius fails to pull guard.

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Black misses with the combination.
Black throws a wild body kick that Kerrius sees coming a mile off.
Black shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kerrius defends it nicely.

Kerrius drives through and clinches with Black against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Black is looking to break free of the clinch but Kerrius has double underhooks.
Black is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kerrius tries to pull guard but Black forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kerrius jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Black walks away with a smile on his face. Kerrius gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Black lands with a kick to the ribs.
Black lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Black is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kerrius sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kerrius shoots in and bounces Black off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kerrius wants to stand and escape but instead Black has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Dave Black will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Black moves in looking to clinch but Kerrius pushes him off.

Kerrius moves into the clinch.
Kerrius drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Black gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Black's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Black fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Black takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Black showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kerrius.

Kerrius changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Kerrius manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Black throws a right hand that Kerrius ducks under and follows up with a left that Kerrius also avoids with ease.
Kerrius dives in and grabs Black's left leg, looking for a takedown. Black pushes down on Kerrius's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Markus Kerrius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black looks to land a combination. Kerrius sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Black shoots for a double leg takedown but Kerrius sprawls well. He's pushed Black's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Black shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kerrius pinned against the cage. Kerrius gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kerrius fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Black to the ground. Kerrius is now in Black's guard.

Markus Kerrius has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Kerrius fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Black to the ground. Kerrius is now in Black's guard.
Markus Kerrius overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kerrius stands up and waves to Black to follow him.

Black takes the fight into the clinch.

Kerrius breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kerrius throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dave Black seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Black gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kerrius tries to circle away but Black has him pinned against the cage.
Kerrius jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Black walks away with a smile on his face. Kerrius gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kerrius stuffs the takedown.
Black misses with a two punch combination.
Black misses with a series of wild punches.
Black tries to clinch but Kerrius is having none of it.
Dave Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kerrius has closed the distance and engaged Black in a clinch.
Kerrius prevents Black from breaking the clinch.
Kerrius is trying to drag Black to the mat but Black just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Black misses with a knee to the head.
Kerrius tries to break free but Black pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kerrius is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Black breaks from the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Markus Kerrius showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kerrius has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
