Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saukko comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Mind Tricks - Genghis Khan . Martinez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Puya -- Sal Pa' Fuera kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez swings for the body but Saukko moves out of range.
Martinez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Saukko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martinez is fending him off so far but Saukko persists. Nope, Martinez circles away and we're back to standing.
Martinez throws a low kick but Saukko moves out of range easily.

A head kick misses from Martinez.
A nice inside leg kick there by Saukko. That's going to slow Martinez down.
Saukko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Saukko throws the kick towards the body but Martinez avoids it.

Martinez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Saukko throws a push kick but Martinez slaps the foot to one side.

Saukko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Martinez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Martinez tries to clinch up but Saukko circles away and keeps his distance.

Saukko takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Martinez lands a leg kick that knocks Saukko off balance momentarily.
Saukko misses the shot to the body.
Martinez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Saukko. That one must have hurt.

Saukko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Martinez throws a low kick but Saukko moves out of range easily.
Martinez tries to clinch but Saukko is having none of it.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martinez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Saukkos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Saukko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Martinez moves away.
Saukko motions for Martinez to come forward. Saukko throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Saukko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Martinez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Saukko misses with an attempted mid kick.
Martinez shoots in looking for a takedown but Saukko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martinez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Martinez, as that shot connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Martinez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martinez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saukko was well out of range. Poor timing from Martinez.
Nice straight punches there by Saukko. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Saukko.
