Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phantom Menace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menace is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Leroy Brown. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex misses with a wild body shot.
Menace looks to land a left hand but Fairtex moved out of range nicely.
Menace looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Menace scores with a kick to the body.
Menace ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fairtex moves away.
Fairtex shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Menace is trying to defend but Fairtex finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Menace tries to get to full guard but Fairtex has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fairtex got a little sloppy there for a moment and Menace has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fairtex has managed to get both his arms back between Menace's legs - danger averted.

Menace sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Fairtex is keen to just control but Menace is a slippery customer.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fairtex throws an overhand right that lands on Menace's shoulder, as Menace tries to avoid the shot.

Fairtex tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Menace was well out of range. Poor timing from Fairtex.
Menace with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fairtex to score with a decent uppercut.

Menace takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Menace will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Phantom Menace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fairtex has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
