Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between We Rollin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxime Oppong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollin comes to the cage accompanied by White and Nerdy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, We Rollin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Maxime Oppong!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollin swats away the attempt to clinch by Oppong.

Rollin has closed the distance and engaged Oppong in a clinch.

Rollin jumps guard and drags Oppong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Oppong with a nice head shot there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oppong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rollin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oppong defends well.

Rollin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rollin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Oppong throws a big elbow that misses.
Rollin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Rollin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Oppong content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Oppong stands up over Rollin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Oppong working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Oppong works over Rollin with some ground and pound from guard.
Oppong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Oppong lands a couple of elbows.
Oppong is looking to work some ground and pound but Rollin has wrist control.
Oppong throws an elbow that misses. Rollin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Oppong's guard. Nice move by Rollin!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oppong pulls Rollin in close to his closed guard and prevents Rollin from doing any damage or advancing position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Maxime Oppong.
Oppong throws a series of punches but Rollin avoids them all with ease.
Rollin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Oppong moves away.
Oppong tries to clinch but Rollin moves out of range.
Rollin throws a leg kick
and Oppong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oppong avoids the head kick by Rollin.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oppong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rollin has managed to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rollin controlling the action here for a moment.

Oppong breaks from the clinch.
Rollin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Good work by Oppong as he checks the leg kick.

Rollin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Oppong is trying to improve his position.
Oppong manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Oppong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Oppong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rollin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rollin's back!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Rollin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Oppong has the hooks in. Rollin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Oppong is punishing Rollin with some ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oppong lands strikes to the head.
Rollin tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Rollin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oppong manages to get himself to full guard.

Rollin wants to control from the top but Oppong keeps moving.
Oppong is pulling down on Rollin's head to control his posture.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rollin postures up in Oppong's guard and throws a big left but Oppong blocks it.
Oppong has his hands on Rollin's head, controlling the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Maxime Oppong hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rollin misses with a leg kick

Oppong wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Oppong's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Rollin loads up on a big right hand but Oppong slips the punch.

Rollin clinches up with Oppong and pushes him back against the cage.

Oppong has had enough of the clinch but Rollin keeps him there for the moment.

Maxime Oppong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Oppong looks to land a combination but Rollin avoids it well.

Rollin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Oppong is trying to defend but Rollin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rollin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oppong napping and manages to drive through into side control!

You can see the frustration on Oppong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oppong is doing well to control the position and prevent Rollin from advancing to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Maxime Oppong will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Rollin looks to land a body kick but Oppong moved away.

Rollin moves into the clinch.

Rollin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Oppong regains guard immediately.

Rollin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rollin manages to end up in side control.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee warns Oppong that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rollin throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Oppong because Rollin loaded up on that one.

Oppong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rollin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rollin's back!

Well, with Oppong on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Rollin is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Oppong is not going to allow Rollin to sit and survive in this position.
