Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lenni Flisa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herb Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko has chosen Tangerine Sky as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lenni Flisa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herb Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flisa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Flisa shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Emelianenko shoots in but Flisa avoids the takedown attempt easily. Emelianenko looks for a takedown but Flisa sprawls well. Emelianenko misses with an attempted mid kick.
Flisa scores a takedown into full mount! Flisa wants to take Emelianenko's back here but Emelianenko is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Flisa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Emelianenko manages to avoid the submission attempt. Flisa decides to stand back up. Flisa steps back and let's Emelianenko get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko misses with a takedown and Flisa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lenni Flisa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Herb Emelianenko. Flisa tries to free his leg and advance position but Emelianenko is retaining full guard. Emelianenko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Flisa has gone for a leg lock! Emelianenko slips out almost immediately though and dives into Flisa's guard. Flisa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Flisa is breathing heavily. Emelianenko trying to stand up but can't free himself from Flisa's guard. Emelianenko drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Flisa dives on top into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flisa stands up from guard. Let's bang! Emelianenko tries to clinch up and Flisa counters with a shoot takedown. Emelianenko fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Emelianenko throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Emelianenko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Flisa stands and steps away. Emelianenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Flisa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Flisa tries to advance to mount but Emelianenko denies him. Flisa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Emelianenko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flisa decides to take the fight back to the feet. A chopping leg kick lands by Flisa. Flisa throws a head kick that misses. Flisa misses with a looping left. Flisa throws a sloppy head kick and Emelianenko moves out of range easily. Flisa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Flisa slips a jab from Emelianenko. Emelianenko doesn't succeed with the takedown and Flisa counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flisa forces his way into half guard. Emelianenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Flisa wants to stand up but Emelianenko is controlling the position.
Emelianenko makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Emelianenko. Flisa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Emelianenko's guard. Flisa could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flisa gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Emelianenko fails with the takedown and Flisa counters with a good, hard body kick but Emelianenko shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lenni Flisa dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Flisa throws a body kick that misses. Emelianenko has his takedown stuffed and Flisa counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Emelianenko doesn't succeed with the takedown and Flisa makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Emelianenko really felt that one! Emelianenko tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Flisa makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flisa feints and as Emelianenko raises his hands in defense, Flisa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Emelianenko is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Flisa is controlling him. Emelianenko is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flisa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Emelianenko keeping moving, preventing Flisa from controlling successfully. Emelianenko throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Flisa passes easily into side control. Nice work. Flisa decides to take the fight back to the feet. Flisa throws a front kick aimed at Emelianenko's knee but Emelianenko avoids it well. Emelianenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Flisa moves into the clinch. Lenni Flisa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Herb Emelianenko.
That's two minutes gone in the round. With the fighters up against the cage, Flisa throws an elbow but misses. Flisa lands a knee to the head.
Flisa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Emelianenko fails with the takedown and Flisa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Emelianenko blocks the elbow strike.
Emelianenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Emelianenko lands a brutal head kick. Flisa looks out on his feet and Emelianenko throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
