The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Bombada.
Schaeffer shoots in for a takedown but Bombada shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brad Bombada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schaeffer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A nice leg kick lands there from Schaeffer.
Schaeffer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Schaeffer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bombada listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Schaeffer tries for a takedown but Bombada circles away easily
and Bombada counters with a stiff right hand.
Bombada stuns Schaeffer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Schaeffer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bombada bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Schaeffer's head.
Bombada scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Schaeffer doesn't manage to clinch there - Bombada circles away.
Bombada fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Schaeffer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bombada keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Bombada Throws a clean left jab. Bombada Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Schaeffer's chin! Schaeffer crumbles to the ground and Bombada follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Bombada!
