Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tokugawa Hattori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazunari Tashiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokugawa Hattori! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazunari Tashiro! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tashiro throws a head kick that misses and Hattori counters with a stiff right hand. Hattori shoots in looking for a takedown but Tashiro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hattori's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tashiro throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Tokugawa Hattori has been cut. Kazunari Tashiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tashiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tashiro wants it to stay on the feet. A thudding body kick lands there by Tashiro!
Nice sprawl there from Tashiro as Hattori shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tokugawa Hattori. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tashiro throws a sloppy head kick and Hattori moves out of range easily. Tashiro leaves Hattori with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tashiro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hattori circles away. Tashiro looks gassed! Tashiro takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hattori closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hattori throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tashiro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hattori pulls his head out easily. Hattori not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tashiro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tashiro trying to hold on to Hattori's head to control him but Hattori postures up.
Hattori is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tashiro has managed to free his arm - good work. Tashiro avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hattori. Hattori missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Tashiro wants to get back to his feet.
Hattori slows the pace down in half guard. Hattori looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tashiro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hattori not landing any meaningful shots this time. Hattori missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hattori is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hattori is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tashiro is just riding it out for now. Hattori eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hattori throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hattori has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hattori advances to full mount. Hattori throws a sloppy strike and Tashiro uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Tashiro has ended up in Hattori's guard.

Hattori has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tashiro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hattori looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hattori looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tashiro is defending well. Hattori quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tashiro has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hattori celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
