Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Break Stuff kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! AJ Penn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Finch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AJ Penn!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finch tries to clinch there but Penn circles away.
Ryan Finch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Finch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Finch walks into a stiff left hand from Penn.
Penn throws a shot to the body.
Penn throws out a powerful jab.
Finch tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Penn swivels and escapes.
Penn takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Penn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Penn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Penn takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
No joy there for Penn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Finch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Penn tries to avoid it but Finch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Penn to the ground. Penn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Finch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Penn is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee warns Penn that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn is trying to stand.
Finch pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Finch breaks from Penn's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penn is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Penn looks gassed!
Finch connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Finch postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Penn looks a forlorn figure.
