Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Sieve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Sieve!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sieve back to the cage. Aldo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sieve misses with a takedown attempt
and Aldo counters with a three punch combo that has Sieve backing up. Sieve nods at Aldo to acknowledge the strikes.
Aldo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sieve.

Aldo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sieve misses with a kick to the body.
Aldo throws a series of punches but Sieve moves out of range.

Aldo throws a head kick that half lands.
Aldo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sieve back to the cage. Aldo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sieve shoots in for a takedown but Aldo shows good takedown defense.
Jose Aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cody Sieve.
Aldo lands the left hand.
Sieve tries to keep at a distance but Aldo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Aldo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sieve shoots in but Aldo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Aldo tries to clinch up but Sieve circles away and keeps his distance.

Sieve doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aldo counters by moving into the clinch.

Aldo makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sieve pulls Aldo into guard.
Aldo wanted to stand there but Sieve had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aldo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Sieve controls Aldo momentarily but Aldo frees himself.
Sieve is pulling down on Aldo's head. It's preventing any offense from Aldo, at least for the moment.

Aldo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sieve on the ground.
Sieve looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sieve is looking to sinch up a triangle. Aldo throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sieve's body to avoid the submission. Sieve has instead reached around Aldo's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sieve arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Cody Sieve!
After the fight, Cody Sieve was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
