The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messervey cracks Schmier with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Schmier looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Messervey finish him?
It looks like Marcel Schmier has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No luck for Schmier with that takedown attempt.
Messervey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schmier, pushing him back against the cage.
Messervey keeps control of Schmier as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Messervey tries to circle away but Schmier has him pinned against the cage.
Schmier breaks from the clinch.
OH! Schmier has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Messervey smells blood and charges in for the finish! Messervey unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Schmier sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
