Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shuk Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: ready for war. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shuk Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away.
A left and a right from Gracie both land. Nice combination.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Carwin which made him look bad.

Carwin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gracie manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carwin lands a big shot there that rocks Gracie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Carwin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie wants to try and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carwin shoots in for a double leg but Gracie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gracie digs a good body shot into Carwin's ribs.

Carwin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gracie manages to reverse the position and now he's in Carwin's guard. Nice work there by Gracie.

Carwin pushes Gracie off and gets back to his feet.
Carwin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gracie finds it's way round the side to connect with Carwin's head.
Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Carwin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jim Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carwin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Gracie has his foot on Carwin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carwin works his way back into a safe position though.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carwin is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Carwin has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gracie celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shuk Gracie!
After winning the bout, Shuk Gracie thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
