The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Winters throws out the jab.
Sloppy strikes from Carter. Those never looked like landing.
Winters looks to land a combination. Carter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Calvin Carter has been cut.
Winters throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A solid body kick from Carter.
A combination from Winters does no damage.
Carter throws a head kick that misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Winters has a takedown stuffed.
Winters scores with a sloppy right hand. Carter should have avoided that one.

Carter moves in looking to clinch but Winters pushes him off.
Winters tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carter was well out of range. Poor timing from Winters.
A nice leg kick lands there from Carter.

Carter throws a wild body kick that Winters sees coming a mile off.
Carter lands with a nice body kick.
Carter misses with a series of wild punches.
Carter has closed the distance and engaged Winters in a clinch.
Winters fails to pull guard.
Calvin Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Winters.
Winters jumps guard but Carter stands there with Winters around his waist. Winters gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Winters jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carter walks away with a smile on his face. Winters gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Carter darts in and clinches Winters up against the cage.
Carter breaks the clinch.
Calvin Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carter scores with a kick to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Winters misses with a straight left.
Winters looks to land a right hand but Carter moved out of range.
Carter throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Winters's head.
Carter jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nice straight punches there by Winters. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Winters.
Winters throws a right and a left that both miss.
Carter throws a push kick but Winters slaps the foot to one side.
Carter moves into range and clinches up with Winters.
Winters tries to pull guard but Carter holds him up against the cage and eventually Winters drops back down to his feet.
Carter lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Winters jumps guard but Carter turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carter softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Carter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Winters is rocked!
Carter throws a big uppercut that drops Winters! More strikes from Carter and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Winters lies dazed against the cage as Carter celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Calvin Carter!
A relieved looking Calvin Carter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
