Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Siduri Rafter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Parker tries a head kick but it misses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Parker - that will leave a mark!
Parker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Rafter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rafter throws a big shot that misses. Parker throws a series of punches but Rafter moves out of range. Rafter sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Parker lands a nice shot that snaps Rafter's head back.
Rafter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Parker. Rafter takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rafter takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Parker getting the better of the striking in that exchange. The fighters circling - Rafter throws out the jab but it was never going to land. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Parker is looking to score with low kicks. Parker swings for the body but Rafter moves out of range.
Peter Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker throws a head kick that half lands.
Rafter lands a nice shot to the body.
Parker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rafter doesn't seem bothered though. Parker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parker throws a head kick but Rafter moves out of range.
Parker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Parker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rafter. Rafter misses with a right hand and Parker counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Parker throws a wild body kick that Rafter sees coming a mile off. Rafter moves out of range as Parker throws a body kick.
Rafter throws a hook but Parker avoids it easily. Rafter connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Peter Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker throws a hook but Rafter avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rafter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parker sprawls well initially but Rafter persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker is trying to control but can't.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rafter missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rafter trying to control the action but Parker is working from the bottom. Rafter is looking to advance position but Parker won't allow it. Rafter seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rafter is thwarting Parker's attempts to control the position. Parker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rafter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rafter's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a pause in the action here. Parker controlling the positon. Parker wants to control but Rafter manages to buck him off and is now in Parker's guard! Nice work there by Rafter! Parker is pulling down on Rafter's head to control his posture. Rafter trying to control but Parker is working from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Parker holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Parker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Parker tries to clinch up. Parker cracks Rafter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Parker is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Parker tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Parker. Rafter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rafter thows a left - swing and a miss! Nice body kick there by Parker. Rafter fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Rafter throws a hook to the side of Parker's head but Parker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rafter is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parker clinches. Parker misses with a hook to the ribs.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Parker dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Rafter lands a jab to the nose. Rafter shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rafter misses with a head shot. Parker uses the momentum to regain guard. Parker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Parker working a defensive guard here.
Parker keeping full guard, as Rafter tries to pass. Parker has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rafter has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rafter throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Rafter lands an elbow. Rafter misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Parker is not content to let Rafter control the position. Parker gets back to half guard. Rafter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parker is trying to get back to full guard. Rafter content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rafter wants to pass the guard but Parker is defending well. Parker is trying to stand back up but Rafter is controlling him
Rafter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Parker slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rafter scoring with some ground and pound.
Parker is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rafter scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Oh Parker is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Rafter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rafter tries to free his leg and advance position but Parker is retaining full guard. Rafter chips away with some ground and pound. Rafter loads up on a big left hand. Parker felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Rafter looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Parker can't hide his disappointment, as Rafter celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Siduri Rafter!
