Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franck Pompi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Zenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pompi comes to the cage accompanied by French National Anthem. Zenin has chosen Helloween - Power as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vladimir Zenin!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pompi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zenin was covering up waiting for the punch and Pompi finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pompi wants to control from the top but Zenin keeps moving.
Pompi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zenin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pompi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pompi drops back looking for a leg! Zenin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zenin manages to kick Pompi off! Pompi jumps back into Zenin's guard.
Zenin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pompi defends well.

Zenin throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Pompi manages to pass to side control.

Zenin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pompi on the side of the head.

Zenin clobbers Pompi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Pompi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zenin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Zenin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pompi.
Pompi dodges the punch combination from Zenin.
Zenin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
