Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Tyson jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Beeston! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson jr dives in and scores a takedown into Beeston's guard. Beeston looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Tyson jr slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Tyson jr just wasn't active enough. Tyson jr lands a right hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson jr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beeston tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tyson jr is in Beeston's guard. Tyson jr stands and steps away. Beeston gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tyson jr lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Tyson jr looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Beeston! Tyson jr tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Beeston tries to reverse the position but Tyson jr maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson jr controlling from the full mount. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Mike Tyson jr wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Beeston gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyson jr to score an easy takedown into full guard. Tyson jr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Tyson jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Beeston's guard. Beeston being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson jr stands up and waves to Beeston to follow him. Tyson jr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Beeston's face as Tyson jr controls the position. Tyson jr grinds an elbow into Beeston's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson jr stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tyson jr gets a double leg takedown into Beeston's guard. Beeston can't keep his opponent in guard - Tyson jr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tyson jr escapes and gets back to his feet. Tyson jr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tyson jr has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Tyson jr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Beeston quickly recovers to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Tyson jr dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tyson jr shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Beeston napping and manages to drive through into side control! Tyson jr cracks Beeston with an elbow. That is naaassty. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Beeston's face as Tyson jr controls the position. Tyson jr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tyson jr stands up and beckons Beeston to his feet. Tyson jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Beeston can do to turn this around? Tyson jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Beeston's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tyson jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Beeston can't keep his opponent in guard - Tyson jr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tyson jr moves into full mount! Beeston won't be happy about that!

Tyson jr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Tyson jr just wasn't active enough. Tyson jr drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tyson jr sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson jr is in close to Beeston's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tyson jr gets to his feet - Beeston follows without any prompting. Tyson jr lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Beeston is rocked! Tyson jr feints with a jab and clips Beeston right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Beeston is sent crashing into the canvas and Tyson jr leaps in for the kill! Beeston tries to get to his feet but Tyson jr is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Beeston is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Tyson jr!
