The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasmoso with a lazy takedown attempt
and The Giant counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Vasmoso is looking to improve his position.
The Giant looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The Giant's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The Giant not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The Giant lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
It looks like Palota Vasmoso has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vasmoso manages to get to full guard.
Vasmoso is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The Giant throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vasmoso works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The Giant wants to control from the top but Vasmoso keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Giant accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The Giant trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The Giant stands up over Vasmoso, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Palota Vasmoso's cut is getting worse.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Palota Vasmoso's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
