Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boxing Comte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Comte kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Laser life by Blood Brothers. Tanner has chosen Cleveland Rocks as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Shane Tanner is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boxing Comte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Tanner! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanner moves into the clinch. Tanner lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Tanner is leaning against Comte and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Tanner lands with a short shot to the head.
It looks like Boxing Comte has been cut. Comte is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tanner. Tanner breaks the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Comte is trying to break the clinch but Tanner has him pressed against the cage. Comte tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Comte blocks a body shot from Tanner. Tanner wants the takedown. Comte is fighting it off but Tanner persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Comte's guard against the cage. Comte keeping moving, preventing Tanner from controlling successfully. Tanner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Comte works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tanner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tanner wants to control from the top but Comte keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanner is stalling in the full guard. Tanner trying to control but Comte is working from the bottom. Tanner works a leg free and moves into half guard. Tanner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Comte is just riding it out for now. Tanner eventually gives up the hold. Comte on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Comte tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tanner throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Comte is staying active underneath Tanner, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Tanner might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Comte kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Comte kicks off Tanner and gets to his feet. Boxing Comte is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tanner throws a looping overhand right but Comte ducks down to avoid it. A combination from Comte does no damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Tanner dominated that round. The cut man is working on Boxing Comte's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Comte misses with an uppercut. Tanner saw that one coming. Tanner misses with a looping right. Nice straight punches there by Comte. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Comte. Nice uppercut lands for Comte. That snapped Tanner's head back.
It looks like Shane Tanner has been cut. Tanner lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Comte throws a combination that misses and Tanner counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tanner misses with a head shot. Comte uses the momentum to regain guard. Comte keeping moving, preventing Tanner from controlling successfully. Comte working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tanner. Tanner postures up in Comte's guard and throws a big left but Comte blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanner looking to pass the guard. Comte is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Comte wants to stand up but Tanner is controlling him. Tanner lands a couple of elbows. Tanner wants to pass the guard but Comte is keeping the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Comte fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tanner manages to avoid it. Comte bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Comte misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tanner shoots in and bounces Comte off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tanner postures up in Comte's guard and throws a big left but Comte blocks it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tanner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Comte is keeping the position for now. Tanner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Comte works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tanner throws and elbow that misses. Comte uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tanner's guard. Nice move by Comte! Tanner keeping moving, preventing Comte from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Tanner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Comte throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Comte, right into the meat.
Tanner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Comte. Tanner gets the takedown into side control. Comte wants to get back to his feet. Sloppy strikes there by Tanner. Comte knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tanner on the ground. Comte prevents Tanner from improving position. Tanner is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Comte knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tanner tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tanner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanner throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Comte regains half guard, as Tanner was trying to land strikes. Tanner is looking to stall here but Comte recovers full guard. Tanner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tanner lands a couple of digs. Tanner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Comte is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tanner is controlling him. Boxing Comte has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tanner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tanner slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Tanner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tanner winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
