Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jax Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teller misses with a few strikes there.
Teller moves into range and clinches up with Diaz. Teller breaks the clinch.
Teller avoids the body shot from Diaz.
Diaz misses with a double jab.
Teller just misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz takes a body punch but keeps moving. Diaz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Teller fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the ropes. Teller controlling the action here for a moment.
Diaz can't break the clinch.
Teller manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Teller's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Diaz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Teller! Teller is trying desperately to improve position. Diaz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Teller is looking to escape. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Teller tries to hold on but Diaz postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to control the pace but Teller is squirming around nicely. Teller tries to improve his position but instead Diaz has taken his back! Diaz tries to get the hooks in deep but Teller pushed the leg off. Diaz avoiding Teller 's attempts to control his hands. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diaz struggling to keep hold of the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Jax Teller will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Diaz throws a right hand that Teller ducks under and follows up with a left that Teller also avoids with ease. Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Teller takes the fight into the clinch. Teller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Teller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Diaz! Diaz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Teller throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Diaz because Teller loaded up on that one. Diaz slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Diaz wants to control the action here but instead Teller manages to pass to full mount! Teller throwing strikes but Diaz bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Teller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teller seems keen to control Diaz's posture. Teller keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Diaz works a leg free and moves into half guard. Diaz decides to stand up. Diaz swinging wildly here.
Teller throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz throws a series of punches but Teller moves out of range. Teller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Teller manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure. Teller trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Teller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Teller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Diaz keeping full guard, as Teller tries to pass. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Teller wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Teller is really struggling to control Diaz but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jax Teller just wasn't active enough. Diaz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Diaz lands a glancing blow to the side of Teller's head. Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Teller is looking to clinch but Diaz is avoiding it.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Teller manages to pull guard.
Diaz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Diaz wants to get up but he can't break Teller's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Teller looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there. Teller is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diaz is controlling him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz trying to control but Teller is working from the bottom. Diaz advances position into side control! Teller is not content to let Diaz control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Teller struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jax Teller will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

We're now in half guard. Teller tries to stand and escape but Diaz is controlling the position. Diaz taking some punishment here, with Teller in his half guard. Teller wants to stand up but Diaz is controlling the position.
Teller is stalling here. Diaz is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Teller seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Diaz has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Diaz trying to control the position but Teller is working away. Teller is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Diaz is controlling him well. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Teller is not content to let Diaz control the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Teller is trying to improve his position. Teller is not content to let Diaz control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Nick Diaz was stalling too much, according to the referee. Diaz with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz scores with a hook to the body. Teller takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Diaz connects with a body shot that sends Teller's belly button to the back. Diaz throws a right hand that Teller ducks under and follows up with a left that Teller also avoids with ease. Teller throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely. Diaz lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Diaz. Teller closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the ropes. Teller manages to break the clinch.
Diaz digs a good body shot into Teller's ribs. Teller is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Teller walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Diaz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Diaz swings and misses with a shot to the body and Teller counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teller is working away from the top position though. Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Teller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Diaz is looking to control Teller's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diaz avoid being mounted? Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Teller looks to land a strike but Diaz avoids it nicely and regains full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Teller! Diaz working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jax Teller. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Teller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Jax Teller wins by unanimous decision! In his post fight interview, Jax Teller started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
