Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace tries a head kick but it misses.
Alvarez throws a right and a left that both miss. Wallace dodges the punch combination from Alvarez.
Alvarez looks to land a combination but Wallace avoids it well. Alvarez looks gassed! Wallace darts in and clinches Alvarez up against the cage. Wallace is trying to break the clinch but Alvarez is controlling him. Alvarez wants to get back to striking at distance but Wallace won't allow it.
Wallace changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Alvarez fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Alvarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wallace takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alvarez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. He's got his arms around Alvarez's waist but Alvarez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wallace off to one side. Wallace has taken the fight to the clinch.

Luiz Alvarez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alvarez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Alvarez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wallace controls the pace. Wallace drops back looking for a leg! Alvarez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alvarez manages to kick Wallace off! Wallace jumps back into Alvarez's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Alvarez works over Wallace's head and body with a nice combination. Luiz Alvarez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Alvarez slaps away a takedown attempt from Wallace, before circling back to the center of the mat. Alvarez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wallace shoots in looking for a takedown. Alvarez tries to sprawl out of it but Wallace keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alvarez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Horrible takedown by Wallace or perhaps it was just good defense by Alvarez which made him look bad.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Wallace showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wallace has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
