Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeffory Falkurk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinton Johnson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Falkurk will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Falkurk shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Falkurk slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Falkurk had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Falkurk Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead. Johnson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Falkurk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Falkurk with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Falkurk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johnson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Falkurk is breathing heavily.

Johnson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Falkurk's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Falkurk's back! Johnson connects with a big shot to the side of Falkurk's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Falkurk tries to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Falkurk bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Johnson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Falkurk advances position into side control! Falkurk trying to control the position but Johnson is working away. Falkurk thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Falkurk passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Johnson! Falkurk moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Johnson has worked his arm free - good work by Johnson!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Falkurk wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well. Falkurk controls the position. Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Falkurk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. Falkurk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Johnson struggling a bit here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Falkurk throws a low kick but it's checked well by Johnson. Falkurk takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Falkurk has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Falkurk is rocked! Falkurk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oh Falkurk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson throws a leg kick but Falkurk moved away. Falkurk seems to have got his legs back now. Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Falkurk with a poor takedown and Johnson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeffory Falkurk. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Falkurk has him pressed against the ropes. Johnson has hold of one of Falkurk's legs. Falkurk is fighting the takedown attempt but Johnson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Falkurk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Falkurk lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Johnson! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Falkurk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Falkurk escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Johnson throwing strikes but missing. Falkurk looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Falkurk wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment. Johnson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Falkurk controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.

Falkurk passes Johnson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Falkurk is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Falkurk. Falkurk wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Falkurk is very close to passing his half guard. Falkurk tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily and Johnson counters by clinching up. Falkurk tightens his grip and picks Johnson up, before dumping him to the ground. Johnson manages to land in guard. Falkurk is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Falkurk has managed to sneak the leg through. Falkurk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well. Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Falkurk is controlling him. Johnson is looking to stand back up but Falkurk counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Johnson. Johnson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Falkurk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Falkurk persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Falkurk is working for a kimura but Johnson is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Falkurk sits in half guard. Johnson manages to escape and get back to his feet! Johnson scores with a one two! Falkurk had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Johnson closes the distance and clinches. Johnson can't break the clinch.

Falkurk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Johnson regains guard immediately. This has been an exciting period of action! Falkurk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Falkurk slips nicely into half guard. Falkurk moves into full mount! Johnson won't be happy about that! No luck for Falkurk with that takedown attempt. Falkurk misses with a takedown and Johnson counters with a left and a right that stings Falkurk. Falkurk takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Falkurk could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Falkurk looking to control but Johnson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Falkurk seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Johnson is holding on tight.

Johnson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Johnson throws a head kick that misses. Falkurk misses with a takedown attempt and Johnson counters with a series of strikes. Falkurk will be more careful next time no doubt. Falkurk ducks right into an uppercut from Johnson. Johnson clinches up against the ropes. Johnson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Falkurk has picked Johnson up - he's going for a ride! Falkurk dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Falkurk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Falkurk looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Quinton Johnson. I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
