Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Ak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Davis looking to control but instead Ak has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Ak keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ak is looking to improve his position.
Ak blocking the ground and pound attempt from Davis.

Davis is looking for a kimura but Ak is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davis to get the leverage.

Davis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ak is just riding it out for now. Davis eventually gives up the hold.

Ak tries to get to full guard but Davis has control of the leg.
Ak flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Davis pulls his head out easily.
Davis frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Davis cracks Ak with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Davis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

It looks like Sergei Ak has been cut.
Davis raining down hammerfists from mount.
Davis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ak looks a forlorn figure.

That has opened up Sergei Ak's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sergei Ak's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sergei Ak's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
