Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kitsune Tsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quartz Henkeln (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henkeln is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Smislovie Gallyucinacii - Vechno Molodoy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kitsune Tsuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Quartz Henkeln!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Tsuki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A combination from Henkeln does no damage.
Tsuki misses with a series of wild punches.
Henkeln displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tsuki.
Kitsune Tsuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Henkeln slaps away a takedown attempt from Tsuki, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tsuki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Henkeln avoids it really well and circles away.

Henkeln tries to keep at a distance but Tsuki has taken the fight into the clinch.

Tsuki is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Henkeln can't fight it off and eventually Tsuki manages to take the fight to the floor. Henkeln looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tsuki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Henkeln has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsuki has managed to get both his arms back between Henkeln's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tsuki wants to control from the top but Henkeln keeps moving.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tsuki has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Henkeln uses from the top position.

Kitsune Tsuki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kitsune Tsuki.
Well Tsuki has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
