Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Stride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Zinfandel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zak Zinfandel acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jasper Stride!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zak Zinfandel!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stride connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Stride swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stride scores with a punch to the head.


It looks like Zak Zinfandel has been cut.
Stride tests Zinfandel's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Stride tried to score with a low kick but Zinfandel checks it.
Stride swings away with a body shot that misses
and Zinfandel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stride looks to land a combination but Zinfandel avoids it well.
Stride moves forwards but Zinfandel connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Zinfandel's jab looks to have found its range, popping Stride under the eye.

Zinfandel scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Zinfandel has hold of Stride's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stride manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stride trying desperately to get to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stride wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Zinfandel.
Zinfandel thowing shots but they're missing.
Stride really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zinfandel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stride's face.

Zinfandel with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Zinfandel misses with a head shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stride is bucking up trying to escape but Zinfandel cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Stride is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Zinfandel has control of Stride's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stride regains control of the situation pretty easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zinfandel looking to control but Stride is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zinfandel with the ground and pound from mount.
Zinfandel wants to control the pace but Stride is squirming around nicely.
Zinfandel won't let Stride get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Zinfandel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stride is looking to escape.
Stride really wants to buck Zinfandel off and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zinfandel looking to control but Stride is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Zinfandel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stride's face.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zinfandel breaks from Stride's wrist control and lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zinfandel is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zak Zinfandel dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Zak Zinfandel's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Stride throws a nice looking combination but Zinfandel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Zinfandel counters with a shoot takedown. Stride fights it but they end up in guard.


Stride is rocked!
Stride being controlled here, momentarily.
Oh Stride is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zinfandel loads up on a big left hand. Stride felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Zinfandel looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Stride can't hide his disappointment, as Zinfandel celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zak Zinfandel!
