Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Mcnain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Van Rovackii! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rovackii throws a head kick that misses. Rovackii connects with an inside leg kick. Mcnain tries to bum rush Rovackii with a series of wild strikes but Rovackii uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mcnain dives in and grabs Rovackii's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rovackii pushes down on Mcnain's head and hops out. John Mcnain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rovackii throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Rovackii stuffs the takedown. Mcnain throws a leg kick which misses Rovackii's front leg but catches the back leg as Rovackii tries to avoid it. Some wild striking there from Mcnain.
Rovackii connects with a high kick. Rovackii leaves Mcnain with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Mcnain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rovackii tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcnain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mcnain closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rovackii throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Mcnain tries to score a body lock takedown but Rovackii shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rovackii has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rovackii tries to pull guard but Mcnain holds him up against the cage and eventually Rovackii drops back down to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rovackii decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Rovackii wants to clinch up but Mcnain keeps it at a distance. Mcnain is looking to clinch. A head kick from Rovackii lands but Mcnain takes it in his stride. Mcnain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rovackii throws a quick inside leg kick. Mcnain moves in looking to clinch but Rovackii pushes him off. Mcnain shoots in but Rovackii avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rovackii dives in and grabs Mcnain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mcnain pushes down on Rovackii's head and hops out. Mcnain sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Mcnain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rovackii manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mcnain fails with the takedown. Rovackii moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rovackii throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like John Mcnain has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcnain has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rovackii. Rovackii throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rovackii lands a nice looking kick to the body. Mcnain takes a step back to recover. Rovackii paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Rovackii lands a head kick. Mcnain smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Mcnain fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rovackii fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rovackii lands a head kick!

Rovackii dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mcnain. That did some damage! Rovackii looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Rovackii fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcnain, pushing him back against the cage. Mcnain keeps control of Rovackii as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rovackii tries to break free but Mcnain pushes him back against the cage. Mcnain has Rovackii pressed against the cage, preventing Rovackii from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mcnain tightens his grip and picks Rovackii up, before dumping him to the ground. Rovackii manages to land in guard. Rovackii will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rovackii is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mcnain lands a couple of elbows. Mcnain trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mcnain working some strikes from top position. Mcnain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mcnain postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mcnain throwing strikes from guard but Rovackii blocks nicely. Rovackii wants to stand up but Mcnain is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcnain working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rovackii wants to stand up but Mcnain is controlling him. Mcnain in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rovackii manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rovackii throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mcnain. Rovackii throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mcnain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Rovackii throws a nice outside leg kick. A head kick misses from Mcnain. Mcnain swats away the attempt to clinch by Rovackii. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rovackii scores with a head kick.
Rovackii lands with a kick to the temple. Mcnain shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mcnain shoots in for a takedown but Rovackii shows good takedown defense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A lazy body kick attempt from Mcnain. Rovackii lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mcnain's sensitive parts. Rovackii scores with a kick to the midsection. Rovackii closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mcnain avoiding damage as Rovackii throws knees to the body.
Mcnain jumps guard but Rovackii stands there with Mcnain around his waist. Mcnain gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rovackii tries to land knees in the clinch but Mcnain avoids the damage to the body. Mcnain ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mcnain no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rovackii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcnain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mcnain is striking but Rovackii is not phased and passes to half guard. Rovackii postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mcnain to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcnain fails to land the takedown. Rovackii lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This has been an exciting period of action! A head kick from Rovackii lands but Mcnain takes it in his stride. A head kick from Rovackii lands but Mcnain takes it in his stride. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mcnain tries to land a front kick but Rovackii steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
