Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Wonders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Wonders!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lake has managed to clinch.
Wonders is trying to pull guard but Lake has him pressed against the cage.
Lake keeps control of Wonders as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Wonders fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wonders is trying to push Lake away but Lake has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Wonders is looking to break free of the clinch but Lake has double underhooks.
Lake can't break the clinch.
Wonders wants to break free but Lake has control.

Wonders breaks the clinch.
Lake lands a head kick!
Nice takedown defense from Lake. No joy for Wonders on that attempt.

Wonders moves into the clinch successfully.
Lake drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lake is working for takedown but Wonders is calmly controlling the position for now.

Lake pulls guard effortlessly.
Wonders must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Wonders pushing down on Lake's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Wonders looks to land a left hand but Lake moved out of range nicely.
Horrible takedown by Wonders or perhaps it was just good defense by Lake which made him look bad.
Wonders tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lake swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lake lands with an overhand left.
Wonders is looking to clinch but Lake is avoiding it.
Wonders dives in and grabs Lake's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lake pushes down on Wonders's head and hops out.

Lake keeps the fight on the outside.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lake shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wonders sprawls well. Wonders wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lake gets slowly back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wonders on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wonders but Wonders pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wonders lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lake has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lake and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lake throws a right and a left that Wonders avoids nicely.

Wonders stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wonders wants it to stay on the feet.
Lake throws a body kick that misses.
Wonders throws a head kick but Lake moves out of range.
Lake closes the distance and clinches up with Wonders, looking for a takedown. Lake pushes Wonders against the cage but Wonders circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wonders shoots in but Lake avoids the takedown attempt easily.

No luck for Lake with that takedown attempt.

and Lake counters by moving into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lake is trying to pull guard but Wonders turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Wonders will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wonders fails to land the takedown.

Lake closes the distance and clinches.
Lake drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wonders gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lake keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wonders's efforts to push away.

Lake prevents a takedown attempt there.
Lake's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruce Lake will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lake's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Lake shoots in for a double leg but Wonders sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wonders gets a clinch.

Lake breaks the clinch.
Wonders shoots in but no luck this time.
Wonders slips under a jab from Lake.
Wonders misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wonders works Lake's body with a nice hook.

Lake takes the fight into the clinch.
Wonders pushes off an throws an elbow but Lake leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Wonders has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Wonders wants to get back to striking at distance but Lake won't allow it.

Lake is looking for a takedown.
Wonders has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lake after a bit of a struggle.
Wonders takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lake escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lake shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wonders pinned against the cage. Wonders gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lake ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lake no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Lake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wonders doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wonders manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lake manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wonders manages to get himself to full guard.

Lake trying to control the position from guard on top but Wonders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lake stands up and waves to Wonders to follow him.
Wonders throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lake.
Lake looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lake fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wonders misses with a takedown attempt - Lake sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wonders is defended easily by Lake.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lake.
Lake shoots in but Wonders avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wonders fails with an attempt to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bruce Lake showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lake has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
