Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oleg Rienstien!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rienstien tries for a takedown but Malek sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rienstien takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Malek scores with a leg kick.
Malek avoids the body shot from Rienstien.
Rienstien doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Malek connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Malek slips under a jab from Rienstien.

Rienstien swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Malek drops Rienstien with a beautiful combination! Rienstien stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Malek is looking for the KO!

It looks like Oleg Rienstien has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rienstien is defended easily by Malek.
Jai Malek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Rienstien.
Rienstien just misses with a punch to the body.

Rienstien is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rienstien tries a head kick but it misses.
Rienstien is trying desperately to land a takedown but Malek is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rienstien.

Malek thuds a left hand into Rienstien's body.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rienstien.
Malek misses with a head kick.
Rienstien throws a looping overhand right but Malek ducks down to avoid it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Malek, right into the meat.
Rienstien gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rienstien takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Rienstien will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jai Malek is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Malek fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rienstien has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Malek connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rienstien. Rienstien circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Malek lands with a good body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Look low, kick high! Malek uses the oldest trick in the book to send Rienstien tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Malek is absolutely delighted - when Rienstien wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Jai Malek spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
