Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander The Great One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Stamper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander The Great One! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harry Stamper! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Great One throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stamper tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. The Great One is in Stamper's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The Great One pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stamper is keeping the position for now. The Great One controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Stamper tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stamper pulls The Great One in to control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stamper can do anything to dispel that myth. The Great One wants to stand but Stamper is controlling his posture from full guard. The Great One scoring with punches to the head and body. Stamper looking for a sweep. Not yet Stamper, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Great One accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stamper working a defensive guard here.
The Great One has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stamper is proving hard to escape from. The Great One throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Stamper is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and The Great One defends well. Stamper looks gassed! Stamper keeping moving, preventing The Great One from controlling successfully. The Great One slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Great One stands and steps away. Stamper gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Stamper tries to grapple but his opponent circles and The Great One counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stamper is trying to get back to full guard. The Great One thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stamper's head. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The Great One missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Great One is working for a kimura but Stamper is defending it quite comfortably.

The Great One controlling the action here. The Great One tries to stand and escape but Stamper is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Great One is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The Great One has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stamper controlling the position well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Great One working over Stamper with some ground and pound. Stamper looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The Great One is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stamper has managed to free his arm - good work. Stamper is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander The Great One dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Stamper gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stamper taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
The Great One is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stamper pulls him back up using the underhooks. The Great One jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stamper walks away with a smile on his face. The Great One gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. The Great One shoots for a double leg takedown but Stamper sprawls well. He's pushed The Great One's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander The Great One. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stamper misses with a takedown attempt - The Great One sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Stamper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stamper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stamper looking to control but The Great One is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stamper goes for an armbar but he's not got it… The Great One turns into him and now he's in Stamper's guard.
Stamper is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The Great One lands a couple of elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Great One postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The Great One stands up and waves to Stamper to follow him. The Great One clinches. Stamper gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from The Great One.
The Great One has picked Stamper up - he's going for a ride! The Great One dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stamper is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of The Great One's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take The Great One's back! Stamper is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but The Great One has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Great One tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Stamper working The Great One over with strikes here. Stamper trying to control but The Great One is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Great One can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stamper unloading with bombs! The Great One is wriggling around trying to escape.
The Great One is squirming around, avoiding Stamper's attempts to control the action. The Great One wants to hold on but Stamper pushes him away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The Great One working to try and regain half guard.
Stamper looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Harry Stamper will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
The Great One takes a kick to the side of the head. The Great One clinches with his opponent.
The Great One is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stamper gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Stamper breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stamper drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stamper just content to control the position. Stamper has knee on belly momentarily but The Great One bucks him off and regains half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Great One trying to hold on to Stamper's head to control him but Stamper postures up.
The Great One gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Stamper won't allow The Great One to get back to his feet. Stamper missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The Great One is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stamper closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stamper throws an elbow but The Great One slips to the side and avoids it well. Stamper trying to control the action but The Great One is working from the bottom. The Great One is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stamper asserts his dominance and retains side control. Stamper is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stamper trying to control the action but The Great One is working from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Harry Stamper hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. The Great One pushes Stamper up against the cage in a clinch. The Great One gets a trip takedown into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The Great One is keen to just control but Stamper is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! Harry Stamper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Stamper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
