Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Sanches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Legend of the USS Titanic. Sanches comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Breaking Benjamin - Ordinary Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Renato Sanches told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanches takes the fight into the clinch.
Wong blocks an uppercut.
Sanches lands a left hand that snaps the head of Wong backwards.
Wong fails to pull guard.

Sanches swings wildly with an uppercut but Wong uses good head movement to avoid it.

Wong jumps guard but Sanches stands there with Wong around his waist. Wong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sanches digs a right hand underneath Wong's ribcage. Wong let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Sanches scores with a shoulder strike.

Sanches pushes Wong back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Wong tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sanches smiles and moves away.
Sanches misses with a wild body shot.
Sanches scores with a hook to the body. Wong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wong looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sanches!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Wong wants to finish this one by submission but Sanches is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wong.
Sanches is in all sorts of trouble here.

Sanches defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Wong.
Wong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Sanches keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wong tries to pass to full mount but Sanches defends it.
Wong passes to side control.
Wong is looking to take a break and control but Sanches is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wong has hold of Sanches's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sanches tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wong cranks the arm and Sanches screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sanches, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
