The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fang scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Fang tries a head kick but it misses.
Fang misses with a body shot.
Fang walks into a stiff left hand from Monsterson.
Monsterson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fang swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kalle Monsterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fang tries a head kick but it misses.
Fang uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Monsterson.
Fang comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Monsterson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Monsterson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fang tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Monsterson is in Fang's guard.
Monsterson looking to sit in guard and control but Fang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fang is fighting to break Monsterson's control of his arms but Monsterson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Monsterson kicks Fang off and gets to his feet.
Monsterson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fang sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fang tries a head kick but it misses.
Fang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Monsterson manages to avoid it.
Fang looks to score with a jab to the body but Monsterson is just out of range.

Monsterson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Monsterson is pushing down on Fang's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fang is fighting to maintain full guard but Monsterson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Monsterson is thwarting Fang's attempts to control the position.
Fang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Monsterson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Monsterson's back!
Monsterson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fang is controlling the position but Monsterson somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Monsterson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fang under the eye.

Fang's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Monsterson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fang scrambles back to his feet.

Monsterson throws a leg kick which misses Fang's front leg but catches the back leg as Fang tries to avoid it.
Fang throws a nice looking combination but Monsterson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fang is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Monsterson rather than just go for the knockout.

Monsterson throws a hook but Fang avoids it easily.

It looks like Tau Fang has been cut.
Monsterson postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Fang bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Monsterson and the fight is over!
