PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stella Artois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stella Artois told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Stella Artois!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura misses with a takedown attempt
and Artois counters with a stiff right hand.
Kimura fails to land the takedown.

Artois has closed the distance and engaged Kimura in a clinch.
Kimura pushes off an throws an elbow but Artois leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Artois breaks the clinch.
Artois throws a one two combo.

It looks like Ken Kimura has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Artois looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Artois thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kimura's head.
Kimura moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Artois throws an elbow that misses. Kimura uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Artois's guard. Nice move by Kimura!
Kimura trying to control the position from guard on top but Artois is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kimura wants to get up but he can't break Artois's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kimura tries to free his leg and advance position but Artois is retaining full guard.
Kimura is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Artois tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kimura with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kimura would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Artois wants to sweep here but Kimura controlling him for the moment.

Ken Kimura has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kimura blocks a head kick by Artois.

Artois clinches up with Kimura and pushes him back against the cage.

Artois pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Artois falls off balance throwing a combination

and Kimura counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Artois!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kimura controlling the position easily from mount.
Kimura trying to control but Artois is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kimura sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Kimura looking to control but Artois is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Artois is working to get back to half guard.
Artois is bucking up trying to escape but Kimura cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Artois is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Kimura has taken his back!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Artois won't enjoy being in this position. Kimura looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Artois is tapping - it's over boys! Kimura picks up the submission victory!
