Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Terrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julito Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrell comes into the arena with Waking the Demon blaring out of the sound system. Max Terrell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terrell shoots for a double leg takedown but Vega sprawls well. He's pushed Terrell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Terrell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vega's hands.
Vega gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Terrell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vega darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vega seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Terrell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Terrell wants to get back to his feet.
Vega is working for a kimura but Terrell is defending it quite comfortably.
Vega throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Terrell pushes Vega off but Vega dives into side control.
Vega moves into full mount!

Vega takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Terrell has given up his back. Will we see Vega going for some submissions?

Terrell tries to escape but Vega has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Vega has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Terrell has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Terrell is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Terrell turns into Vega and is now in his guard.

Terrell wants to get up but he can't break Vega's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Terrell tries to free his leg and advance position but Vega is retaining full guard.
Vega working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Terrell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Terrell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Vega has Terrell pulled in close to control his posture.
Vega is working an open guard so Terrell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Vega has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Vega changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Terrell tries to avoid it but Vega manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Terrell to the ground. Terrell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Terrell lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Vega shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Terrell as he jumps to the side.
Vega misses with a body kick.
Terrell fails with the takedown
and Vega counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Terrell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vega is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Terrell defends it well.
Vega is looking to take a break and control but Terrell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vega is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Terrell bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Vega is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Vega seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Terrell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Terrell wants to stand but Vega is controlling his posture from full guard.
Terrell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vega's guard.
Terrell tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Terrell moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Terrell misses with a takedown attempt
and Vega counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Terrell tries to kick Vega off but Vega keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vega looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vega missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julito Vega dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Vega shoots in for a takedown but Terrell shows good takedown defense.

and Terrell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vega's guard now.
Vega looking to hit a scissor sweep but Terrell is one step ahead there.
Vega is trying to control the position but Terrell postures up.

Vega tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Vega lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Terrell!

Terrell is trying desperately to improve position.
Terrell is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Vega is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Terrell is surviving well by controlling Vega's body position as best he can.
Vega is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Terrell has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
