Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eddie Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Jones! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a nice looking combination but Garcia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Garcia shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jones working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Garcia's head. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones drops back looking for a leg! Garcia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Garcia manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Garcia's guard. Jones with a nice head shot there. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones postures up.
Garcia is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Garcia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones passes Garcia's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones wants to control but Garcia is keeping him busy. Jones decides to return to a standing position. Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Garcia slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garcia defends it nicely. Johnny Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia throws a combination that misses and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones tries for a kimura but Garcia is defending well. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Garcia knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jones has an Americana. Garcia didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jones is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jones hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Eddie Jones!
