Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Lipponen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lipponen comes to the cage accompanied by Rainbow - Man on the Silver Mountain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Lipponen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Buck Blaze!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lipponen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blaze moves away.
Buck Blaze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blaze changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lipponen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice uppercut lands for Blaze. That snapped Lipponen's head back.


It looks like Pekka Lipponen has been cut.
Blaze misses with a double jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Blaze thows a body shot but no joy.
No joy there for Blaze, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Blaze avoids the body shot from Lipponen.
Lipponen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blaze looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lipponen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lipponen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Blaze pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lipponen back to the cage. Blaze follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Blaze scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lipponen slips a jab and a cross from Blaze.
Lipponen misses with an uppercut.
Blaze misses with a hook
and Lipponen counters with a low kick, right behind Blaze 's knee.
Blaze lands a jab.


Pekka Lipponen's cut is getting worse.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Lipponen.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blaze takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lipponen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Blaze.
Blaze fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lipponen manages to avoid it.
Lipponen clobbers Blaze with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Blaze fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lipponen moves forwards but Blaze connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Blaze misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lipponen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Blaze.
Blaze loads up on a big right hand but Lipponen slips the punch.
Blaze dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Blaze stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Pekka Lipponen's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Lipponen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Blaze swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Donk. Lipponen catches Blaze right on the button with a cross.
Lipponen connects with a leg kick. Blaze looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Buck Blaze is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blaze misses with a series of wild punches.
Blaze looks gassed!
Lipponen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Blaze stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lipponen.
Lipponen looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lipponen tries to clinch but Blaze is having none of it.
Blaze throws a looping overhand right but Lipponen ducks down to avoid it.
Lipponen cracks the inside of Blaze's front leg.
Lipponen cracks a nice hook into Blaze's ribs.
Lipponen scores with a kick to the midsection.

Lipponen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blaze sprawls well initially but Lipponen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Lipponen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Blaze has managed to free his arm - good work.
Blaze is trying to stand up here but Lipponen is controlling him well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lipponen is looking to take a break and control but Blaze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lipponen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blaze's head.
Lipponen wants to control but Blaze is keeping him busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Blaze is trying to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Pekka Lipponen just wasn't active enough.
Lipponen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Blaze has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Blaze does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Blaze misses with a wild combination.
Lipponen staying out of range there.
Lipponen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blaze.
Lipponen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blaze.
Blaze fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blaze throws a looping overhand right but Lipponen ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Blaze scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lipponen is looking to wear down Blaze with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Blaze connects with a body shot.
Blaze scores with a three punch combo!
Nice shot lands for Blaze.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buck Blaze dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Pekka Lipponen's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Blaze just misses with a punch to the body.
Lipponen thumps Blaze with a low kick.
Blaze lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


Jeez, Pekka Lipponen's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pekka Lipponen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Buck Blaze!
A less than humble Buck Blaze misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
