Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Knox Lyndon!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyndon tries to clinch up but Chernov circles away and keeps his distance.
Lyndon works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Lyndon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chernov keeps the fight on the outside.
Lyndon throws a wild body kick that Chernov sees coming a mile off.

Chernov gets a double leg takedown into Lyndon's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Chernov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lyndon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Chernov passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Chernov is looking to take a break and control but Lyndon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lyndon tries to escape but Chernov is in control.

Lyndon avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Chernov.

Chernov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lyndon, who protects the arm well.

Lyndon is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Chernov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lyndon for as long as he can get away with.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That kick from Lyndon tenderised Chernov's leg. Chernov is trying to keep his angry face on.

Lyndon gets caught napping as Chernov dives in and scores a takedown. Lyndon manages to retain guard.

Chernov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chernov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Chernov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lyndon wants to get back to his feet but Chernov drags him back down.

Chernov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lyndon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Chernov is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lyndon looks calm but he's in trouble here. Chernov gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lyndon is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Chernov lets go of the hold and Lyndon can pop his arm back in it's socket.
