Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Scullion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oliver Collins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Owen Scullion! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Collins is looking to chop away at Scullion's legs. Scullion looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Collins trying to hold on to Scullion's head to control him but Scullion postures up.
Scullion stops Collins from getting back to his feet.
Scullion wants to free his trapped foot but Collins is holding on for dear life with his legs. Scullion slows the pace down in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Owen Scullion was stalling too much, according to the referee. Scullion moves into the clinch. Scullion drops down looking for an ankle pick but Collins pulls his leg out and moves away.
No joy there for Collins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Danga de danga de dang - Collins scores with a four punch combination! Collins throws a one two combo.
Collins throws a lazy right hand but Scullion sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Collins thows a body shot but no joy. Scullion displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Collins. Scullion scores a takedown into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Collins is looking to get to half guard. Scullion content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scullion get's back to his feet. Collins dodges the punch combination from Scullion.
Collins lands with a shot to the body. Scullion clobbers Collins with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Collins lands a head shot. Collins throws a body punch but Scullion moves out of range. Collins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Scullion tries to avoid it but Collins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Scullion to the ground. Scullion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Scullion clinches up with Collins and pushes him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scullion using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Collins has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Scullion content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Scullion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Collins darts in and out, connecting with a jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Collins dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Scullion looks gassed! Scullion takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Scullion doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Scullion fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Collins sprawls well initially but Scullion persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Collins trying to control from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scullion sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Collins defending well though. The fighters are battling for position here. Collins manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Scullion trying to control but Collins is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Owen Scullion will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Collins feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Scullion's calf. Scullion takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Collins scores with a decent looking hook. Collins smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Collins is looking to clinch but Scullion is avoiding it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Scullion is defended easily by Collins. Scullion drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Collins gets back to half guard. Scullion is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Collins looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Scullion tries to pass to full mount but Collins defends it. Collins has his hands clasped together around Scullion's back. He's all about the action.

Scullion circles away from the clinch attempt and Scullion counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Scullion trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref stands the fighters back up. Oliver Collins wasn't doing enough on the ground. Scullion tries to close the distance and clinch but Collins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Collins swings for the body but Scullion moves out of range.
Scullion wants to clinch. Collins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scullion's waist but Scullion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Collins off to one side. Collins scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scullion shoots in for a takedown but Collins shows good takedown defense. Collins cracks a nice hook into Scullion's ribs. Collins shoots in looking for a takedown. Scullion tries to sprawl out of it but Collins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scullion manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Oliver Collins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Collins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Oliver Collins is winning the standup battle so far. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Collins.
Collins is looking to wear down Scullion with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Scullion shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Collins pinned against the cage. Collins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Oliver Collins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Scullion. Collins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Scullion sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Collins somewhat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Collins connects with a body shot that sends Scullion's belly button to the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Oliver Collins will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Collins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Scullion has him pressed against the cage. Collins swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Scullion effectively controlling the action here. Scullion is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Collins is trying to break free. Scullion takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Scullion is trying to drag Collins to the mat but Collins just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Oliver Collins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Scullion. Scullion jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Collins walks away with a smile on his face. Scullion gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scullion rushes Collins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Collins wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Collins looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Collins manages to break the clinch.
Collins with a jab. Collins tries for a takedown but Scullion sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Scullion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Collins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Scullion is in Collins's guard. Scullion in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scullion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Collins swivels though and keeps the full guard. Scullion must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Scullion is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Owen Scullion has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Scullion tries for a takedown but Collins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Collins defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Scullion. Oliver Collins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Collins wants to clinch.

Scullion drops his hands momentarily and Collins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Collins dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Collins throws a series of strikes that have Scullion backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Scullion clinches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Oliver Collins. I think Collins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
