Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scotty McBiggy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stephens has chosen I Want War as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scotty McBiggy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Stephens!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBiggy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McBiggy wants it to stay on the feet.

Stephens shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

McBiggy somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Stephens on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Stephens takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stephens staying out of range there.
Stephens shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stephens tries for a takedown but McBiggy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Scotty McBiggy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Stephens.
McBiggy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Stephens shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stephens shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McBiggy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Stephens wants to stand but McBiggy is controlling his arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stephens is trying to ground and pound but McBiggy uses the momentary lack of control by Stephens to regain half guard.
Stephens wants to lay and pray for a moment but McBiggy keeps working.

Stephens throws a strike but McBiggy avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Stephens working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McBiggy's head.
McBiggy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Stephens trying to move into half guard but instead McBiggy has managed to sweep!
McBiggy wants to stand and escape but instead Stephens has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stephens throws a strike but McBiggy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McBiggy won't allow Stephens to get back to his feet.

McBiggy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stephens, up you get!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stephens tries to clinch but McBiggy moves out of range.
Stephens on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jeremy Stephens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McBiggy connects with a nice looking jab.
Stephens tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McBiggy swivels and escapes.
Stephens tries to clinch there but McBiggy circles away.
Stephens tries to clinch up but McBiggy circles away and keeps his distance.
Stephens misses with a head kick.
Stephens has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Stephens doesn't manage to clinch there - McBiggy circles away.
Stephens shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stephens takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice takedown defense from McBiggy. No joy for Stephens on that attempt.
Scotty McBiggy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McBiggy leaves Stephens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stephens fails to land with a series of punches.

McBiggy tries to bum rush Stephens with a series of wild strikes but Stephens uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stephens tries to clinch
and McBiggy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stephens has his takedown stuffed
and Stephens takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stephens looks gassed!
Stephens walks into a straight right hand from McBiggy.

Stephens tries to keep at a distance but McBiggy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stephens jumps guard but McBiggy stands there with Stephens around his waist. Stephens gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Stephens is trying to break the clinch but McBiggy has him pressed against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A frustrated look appears on McBiggy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Scotty McBiggy will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


McBiggy misses with a low kick.
McBiggy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McBiggy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stephens.

McBiggy gets tackled into the cage by Stephens. Stephens maintains the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Stephens.
Stephens is trying to push McBiggy away but McBiggy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Stephens goes for a takedown in the clinch but McBiggy prevents it.

Stephens manages to break the clinch.
McBiggy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McBiggy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A slow jab from McBiggy misses its intended target.

Stephens pushes McBiggy up against the cage in a clinch.

McBiggy prevents the takedown attempt.

McBiggy breaks the clinch.
Stephens uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McBiggy.
McBiggy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Stephens throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McBiggy.
McBiggy throws an overhand right that lands on Stephens's shoulder, as Stephens tries to avoid the shot.

McBiggy closes the distance and clinches.
McBiggy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stephens breaks the clinch.
McBiggy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stephens.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stephens swats away the attempt to clinch by McBiggy.
McBiggy is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
McBiggy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Stephens shoots in looking for a takedown but McBiggy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stephens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

McBiggy looks to throw the jab but Stephens is out of range.
Stephens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McBiggy pinned against the cage. McBiggy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stephens dodges the punch combination from McBiggy.
McBiggy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stephens paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McBiggy misses with a looping left.
McBiggy punishes Stephens's body with a nice straight punch.
Stephens gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McBiggy counters with a series of strikes. Stephens will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McBiggy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Stephens throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McBiggy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stephens is in McBiggy's guard.

McBiggy pushes Stephens off and scrambles back to his feet.

McBiggy misses with an uppercut. Stephens saw that one coming.
McBiggy throws a nice looking combination but Stephens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McBiggy throws a shot from downtown. Stephens moves away and avoids it.
Scotty McBiggy is winning the standup battle so far.

Stephens moves into the clinch successfully.
Stephens wants to stall.
McBiggy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Stephens wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stephens tries for a takedown. No joy.

Stephens fails to pull the fight into his guard.
McBiggy gets underhooks to prevent Stephens's takedown attempt.
Stephens wants to break free but McBiggy has control.

McBiggy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stephens walks into a jab.
McBiggy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McBiggy wants it to stay on the feet.

Stephens is breathing heavily.
Stephens misses with a double jab
and McBiggy counters with a straight right hand.

Stephens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McBiggy scores with the left hand. Stephens knows he should have avoided that one.
Stephens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stephens takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McBiggy throws a solid leg kick but Stephens takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McBiggy.
Stephens doesn't manage to clinch there - McBiggy circles away.
Stephens takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stephens.
Scotty McBiggy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Stephens.
Stephens takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sloppy strikes from McBiggy. Those never looked like landing.
Jab, jab by McBiggy - just one landing.
McBiggy swings away with a leg kick that misses.
McBiggy throws a series of punches but Stephens avoids them all with ease.
Stephens misses with a takedown attempt - McBiggy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stephens's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McBiggy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stephens scrambles back to his feet.
Stephens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McBiggy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stephens is defended easily by McBiggy.
McBiggy lands with an overhand left.
Stephens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stephens takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Horrible takedown by Stephens or perhaps it was just good defense by McBiggy which made him look bad.
McBiggy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


Stephens is rocked!

McBiggy takes the fight into the clinch.
Stephens is still on wobbly legs! Can McBiggy finish him?

McBiggy manages to break the clinch.
McBiggy connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Stephens tumbling to the canvas! McBiggy pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Stephens was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Scotty McBiggy!
