Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barack Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brad Pickett!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush scores with a jab. Pickett acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Pickett misses with a double jab

and Bush counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pickett won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Pickett is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bush is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bush stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Bush connects with a nice looking jab.


It looks like Brad Pickett has been cut.
Bush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bush wants to clinch but Pickett slips to the side
and Pickett counters with a straight right hand.
Pickett keeps the fight on the outside.
Pickett misses with a looping left.
Bush swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pickett throws an overhand right that lands on Bush's shoulder, as Bush tries to avoid the shot.
Bush is looking to clinch.

Bush clinches with his opponent.
Pickett wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bush gets through Pickett's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bush wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Pickett takes a shot to the head.
Bush wants to take the fight to the mat but Pickett manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Bush lands a right hand.
Pickett takes a shot to the head.


Pickett is rocked!
Bush swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Pickett is still on wobbly legs! Can Bush finish him?
Bush is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pickett is defending well.

Bush's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bush clinches up with Pickett and pushes him back against the cage.
Pickett is trying to push Bush away but Bush has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bush throws a punch but it's blocked by Pickett.
Bush fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bush misses with a punch on the inside.
Bush has a couple of punches blocked by Pickett.

Bush pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pickett leaves his chin hanging out and Bush seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Pickett crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Barack Bush!
