Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddrox clinches up against the cage.
Maddrox can't break the clinch.
Maddrox has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. The Vandal avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
The Vandal with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
The Vandal has a couple of punches blocked by Maddrox.
The Vandal gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The Vandal stops a takedown attempt from Maddrox.
The Vandal throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Maddroxs head.

Maddrox escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Vandal gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The Vandal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Maddrox is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Maddrox looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Vandal is one step ahead there.
The Vandal wants to pass the guard but Maddrox is keeping the position.
The Vandal controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that The Vandal has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The Vandal tries to free his leg and advance position but Maddrox is retaining full guard.
The Vandal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Maddrox is trying to control the position but The Vandal postures up.
Maddrox has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but The Vandal has passed into side control.
Maddrox gets back to half guard.

Maddrox moves into full guard.
Maddrox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maddrox can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as The Vandal controls the pace.
The Vandal gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
