Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Dukes! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz. Dukes misses with a few strikes there.
Dukes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Diaz clinches up with Dukes and pushes him back against the cage. Dukes gets a trip takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Diaz wants to improve his position but Dukes is controlling well.

Diaz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz throws a big elbow that misses. Diaz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dukes keeping full guard, as Diaz tries to pass. Dukes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diaz is controlling him. Dukes is breathing heavily. Diaz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dukes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dukes has escaped and now he's on top! Michael Dukes has got the better of the ground game so far. Diaz is trying to keep Dukes in close.

Michael Dukes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A left and a right from Dukes both land. Nice combination. Dukes gets tackled into the cage by Diaz. Diaz maintains the clinch. Dukes wants the takedown. Diaz is fighting it off but Dukes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Diaz's guard against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Dukes from controlling successfully. Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dukes's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dukes passes Diaz's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dukes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Dukes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Dukes tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Diaz drives through with a takedown into guard. Dukes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diaz is controlling him. Diaz postures up in Dukes's guard and throws a big left but Dukes blocks it. Diaz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dukes can't keep his opponent in guard - Diaz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Diaz seems to be working for a kimura but Dukes defends the submission attempt. Dukes wants to get back to his feet.
Dukes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Diaz misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dukes is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Diaz wants to finish this one by submission but Dukes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Diaz. Dukes is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Joey Diaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! You get the feeling that Dukes really doesn't like being in this position too much.
