The crowd seem to be enjoying Couto's choice of entrance music: HellBringer - HellBringer. Cristiano Couto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? White is fending him off so far but Couto persists. Nope, White circles away and we're back to standing.
Couto is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in White's half guard.
Couto has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Couto controlling the position easily from mount.
White is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Couto tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Couto drives through with a takedown into guard.
Couto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Couto gets to his feet - White follows without any prompting.

White throws a jab but it's blocked by Couto.

Couto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Couto trying to mount his opponent but White defends it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cristiano Couto was stalling too much, according to the referee.
White misses with a left hand
and Couto counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for White!
Couto gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Couto tries to clinch up.
Couto clinches.
Couto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Couto forces White back against the cage and clinches.
Couto keeps the fight in the clinch, despite White's efforts to push away.
Couto prevents White from breaking the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
White wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Couto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Couto fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
White misses with a left hand
and Couto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in White's guard now.
Couto is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Couto looks gassed!
Couto is pushing down on White's leg trying to pass to half guard. White is fighting to maintain full guard but Couto has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Couto is trying to control the action in half guard but White is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
White has one foot on Couto's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Couto shoots in and drives through. White sprawls well.
James White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristiano Couto.
White throws a jab but it's blocked by Couto.
Couto takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Cristiano Couto has been cut.
Couto tries to close the distance and clinch but White swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
White throws a big shot that misses.
James White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
White missing with a left hand there. Couto was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Couto drops his hands momentarily and White takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
White lunges at Couto with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Couto's hand.
That has opened up Cristiano Couto's cut even more.
James White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Couto walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! White swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
