The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice sprawl there from Stenner as David shoots in.
Stenner cracks David with a right hand to the side of the head.
Stenner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
David throws a big shot that misses.
Stenner throws a right and a left that both miss.
David slips a jab and a cross from Stenner.

Stenner throws a series of punches but David avoids them all with ease.

It looks like David might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tristan David dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


David moves forwards but Stenner connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Stenner seems to have got his legs back now.
David tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Stenner is able to avoid easily.
David shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stenner as he jumps to the side.

David shoots in and bounces Stenner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tristan David has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stenner wants to stand but David is controlling the position.
David landing some decent shots from guard.
Stenner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for David on the ground.

Stenner is in trouble now - David has advanced to mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

David has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
David is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Stenner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
David tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
David's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Stenner seems to have got his legs back now.

Tristan David showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



David moves into the clinch successfully.

Stenner throws a right hand that David ducks under and follows up with a left that David also avoids with ease.
David throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stenner.
David doesn't manage to clinch there - Stenner circles away.
Gerd Stenner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
David misses with a body kick.
David fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
David shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stenner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stenner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
David doesn't manage to clinch there - Stenner circles away.
David closes the distance and clinches up with Stenner, looking for a takedown. David pushes Stenner against the cage but Stenner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gerd Stenner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tristan David.

David darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if David is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

David winds up and cracks Stenner with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
David is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that David has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

David is working for a kimura but Stenner is defending it quite comfortably.

David maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Stenner could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but David has cracked it and Stenner is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by David!

Tristan David really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Canuck Beavermeat Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
