Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Larson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Melvin Hari!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hari misses with a series of wild punches.
Hari looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Larson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hari was covering up waiting for the punch and Larson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Larson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Larson sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Larson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Larson gets to his feet - Hari follows without any prompting.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Larson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hari tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Larson is in Hari's guard.
Larson lands a couple of elbows.
Hari has momentary wrist control but Larson slips an elbow through the middle.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hari can do anything to dispel that myth.

Larson gets to his feet - Hari follows without any prompting.

Larson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hari, pushing him back against the cage.
Larson tries to break the clinch but Hari is controlling the position.

Larson drags the fight down to the ground.
Larson controlling Hari's posture.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Larson pushes a forearm under Hari's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hari is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Brock Larson!
