Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Huno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincent Taccetta!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taccetta lands with an uppercut that bounces Huno off the cage and back into range.
Taccetta blocks a head kick by Huno.
Huno takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Huno tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taccetta paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Huno wants to clinch
and Taccetta counters with a nice body shot.
Taccetta lands a glancing blow to the side of Huno's head.
Taccetta lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Huno tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Taccetta manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Taccetta throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Huno on the side of the head.
Huno misses with a low kick.
Huno tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Taccetta comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Huno stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Taccetta is on him like rabid pit bull! Huno slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vincent Taccetta!
