Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Franklin manages to avoid it.
Franklin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch combination from Franklin misses.

and Franklin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones with a hook.
Franklin tries a head kick but it misses.
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones clobbers Franklin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jones digs a good hook to Franklin's body.
Franklin tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.
Franklin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Franklin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Jones feints a jab promting Franklin to slip. Jones then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Franklin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Jones moves out of range as Franklin strikes.
Franklin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Franklin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.
Franklin cracks Jones with an open hand slap.
Jones is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Franklin rather than just go for the knockout.
Franklin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Franklin jabs at Jones's body.
Franklin misses with a straight right.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Franklin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jones counters with a one-two to the body.
Jones misses with a kick to the body.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Franklin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Franklin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Franklin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Franklin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Jones drops Franklin with a beautiful combination! Franklin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!
Franklin is rocked!
Franklin is breathing heavily.
Jones darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Franklin's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Jones before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eddy Jones!
A very excited looking Eddy Jones rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
