Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ritchie Padavona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Separate Ways. Padavona has chosen Double The Pain as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ritchie Padavona!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David shoots in looking for a takedown but Padavona manages to keep the fight standing, pushing David's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ritchie Padavona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Padavona misses.
David gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Padavona counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps David thinking.
Padavona misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Padavona rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but David moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Padavona throws a jab when David was well out of range.
Padavona scores with a sloppy right hand. David should have avoided that one.
It looks like Michael David has been cut.

Padavona throws a left and a right that both miss
and David counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
David is working to tighten is grip on Padavona's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Padavona has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but David is really squeezing tight and eventually Padavona passes out! David breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Michael David!
